From basic surgical approaches to advanced techniques and zygomatic implants for the rehabilitation of atrophic maxillae.

Objectives

We offer three course modalities with patient care, live demonstrative surgeries, and training on mannequins for your best learning experience. The courses include a one-week program that encompasses accommodation, meals, and a city tour of the amazing city of Belo Horizonte. Inquire about special conditions for groups.

Implantology Step-by-Step Surgical Approach This course covers the basic surgeries for implant placement. Doctors will learn about surgical/prosthetic planning, the sequence of surgical instruments, rehabilitation of single and partial edentulous areas, techniques for preserving the alveolar ridge, and bone regeneration. The course consists of theoretical lessons, demonstrative surgeries, surgery on mannequins, and surgery on patients.

Advanced Surgery in Implantology. The objective of the course is to equip students to perform high-complexity procedures in Implantology safely through intensive training in surgical techniques such as bone grafting, sinus lift, protocol, techniques for preserving the alveolar ridge, and implants in aesthetic areas.

Rehabilitation of Atrophic Maxilla with Zygomatic Implants. The objective of the course on Rehabilitation of Atrophic Maxilla with Zygomatic Implants is to share a philosophy of rehabilitative planning, aiming to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the indications for zygomatic implant fixation, as well as the planning and execution of techniques based on scientifically grounded theoretical knowledge, surgical training on mannequins, and patient care. You will also learn about: Pterygoid implants, transsinusal implants, and transnasal implants.

Dr. Carlos Araújo

• Doctor, Master, and Specialist in Implantology. Professor Carlos Araújo has over 15 years of experience in Implantology. After completing his specialization, master’s, and PhD in Implantology, he began teaching specialization courses over 10 years ago. His research focuses on implant surface treatment and biomaterials for bone repair. He has participated in major international conferences such as EAO and Europerio and is the coordinator of immersion courses in Surgery and Implantology at the University of Gothenburg, in partnership with Professor Karl Erik Kahnberg. Additionally, he taught an Advanced Surgery in Implantology course at CITROFA in Portugal, alongside Professor Fernando Duarte. Currently, he coordinates the Implantology specialization courses at Impla and teaches immersion courses in Basic Implantology, Advanced Implant Surgery, and Rehabilitation of Atrophic Maxilla with Zygomatic Implants.
